RACE REPORT - GIANT 2W 14/05/21

The second round of the Giant 2W enduro series saw James, Will, and Joe again make the trip north to Rotorua for another big weekend of racing. With 7 stages spread across the forest, it was obvious from the start that a big day of racing was ahead.

After amassing almost 3000m vert across the Friday practice day and Saturday race day, the boys were knackered. Conditions in the forest were near perfect and despite waking to a frost on Friday morning, the conditions on race day were ideal for some autumn racing.

Congrats to James for coming away as the top-ranked iRIDE member with 19th in his category, with Joe following up with 23rd in his. Unfortunately, Will J couldn't improve on his previous 11th overall due to a timing error giving him a DHF. Massive congrats to ex-iRIDE staff member Elliot Smith for taking out 2nd in U21 on the day.
