Terms and Conditions

Orders and Delivery

An order made via this site ("order") is an offer to purchase one or more products. When we receive a valid order from you, we will accept this offer by confirming via email that we have received and are processing the order. We will begin the delivery process after receiving payment and/or payment confirmation.

Products unavailable in our store may be ordered in from our suppliers. A 30% deposit is required for all special orders. If the order is cancelled for any reason, you may be required to pay a 10% restocking fee if the item cannot be returned, or has incurred a shipping & handling cost.

We will deliver the products set out in your order ("products") almost anywhere in New Zealand. We do not deliver outside New Zealand, however, an overseas order may still be placed with a New Zealand delivery address.

Delivery is made by courier. We endeavour to deliver all products within 3-5 working days of us confirming receipt of the order, although this timeframe is an estimate only. Not all stock is on-site at iRIDE, and may come from our 3rd party partners. The majority reside in NZ, making shipping easier, however a small number are Australian based which can add 3-4 days to standard shipping targets.

If we are not able to supply the products or there is likely to be a significant delay in making delivery (e.g. because the product is out of stock or the delivery is to a rural/remote location), we will notify you as soon as reasonably possible after we become aware of this, in which case you may cancel the order (or any part of it) and you will receive a refund (including the applicable delivery charges) in respect of those products which will not be delivered (if any). We will not otherwise be liable to you for any damages, costs or expenses of any kind, suffered or incurred by you due to the order not being fulfilled or the products not being delivered within the anticipated delivery time. The risk of any loss of, or damage to, the products will pass to you on delivery.

For more information on warranties, returns, and exchanges, see section on this page. We'll send you an invoice once your order is dispatched with a track and trace number so you can stay updated on the progress of your order.

The delivery charge is $10 nationwide for goods that fit in a standard A4 sized post delivery bag if under the $150 cap. If your order total is above $150, shipping is free, with some exceptions:

  • Due to their size, bikes do not qualify for free delivery. We can organise the delivery of bikes once a freight fee can be determined based on weight and delivery location.
  • Medium to Larger items which do not fit in a standard courier bag may incur an additional charge which will be displayed at the checkout. Currently these also include shoe and helmet boxes particularly while we ahve a lot of stock in this area at clearance pricing.
  • For bulky or heavy items (over 25kg), a shipping charge will be incurred regardless of amount spent. We will notify you of this shipping charge as soon as we can, as above.
  • We are unable to deliver large items on weekends.
  • Please also note that deliveries to the Outer Islands (Chatham Island, Stewart Island, Kawau Island, Waiheke Island, Matakana Island, Great Barrier Island and d’Urville Island) will incur additional costs.
  • Special offer periods may apply.

The anticipated delivery charges (if applicable) will be notified to you when you complete the order, although in some cases the actual delivery charges may be higher (e.g. if the products are large/heavy or delivery is to a rural/remote location). We will notify you if the actual delivery charges are higher than those anticipated, in which case you may cancel the order (or any part of it) prior to delivery and receive a refund (including the applicable delivery charges) in respect of the cancelled order.

All iRIDE freight being delivered by NZ Post. Detailed tracking will be sent via NZ Post. If you wish to change the delivery address this can be done via the tracking link from NZ Post. Any special delivery instructions provided on the label will be followed (ie. Leave in letterbox or at back door).

Warranties, Exchanges, and Returns

Please note the following policies regarding warranty, return or exchange of goods apply to all purchases from iRIDE Ltd. The Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and Fair Trading Act 1986 provide the basis for our returns policy. For a product to be returned under our policy, that product must be in a resalable condition, unless faulty or otherwise defective.

Consumer Guarantees Act 1993
The Consumer Guarantees Act sets out minimum standards for goods sold by iRIDE Ltd. In the event that goods sold are not of good quality or are faulty, the customer has the right to a repair, replacement, or a refund.

Fair Trading Act 1986
The Fair Trading Act is designed to protect the customer being misled, either intentionally or unintentionally. This applies to all aspects of the promotion and sale of goods and services including: pricing; where the product was made; where the product is from; the meeting of New Zealand safety standards; availability of products in store and the sales techniques used. The New Zealand Commerce Commission enforces the Fair Trading Act 1986.

All goods supplied by iRIDE are covered by the warranty of the products’ manufacturers.

  • If an item has failed prematurely please follow our process for warranties, returns and exchanges - see below.
  • Please note that certain products need to be returned to our suppliers, for inspection and possible repair.
  • Goods are subject to the manufacturers' warranties. We will pass on the benefit of those warranties to you.
  • Where goods are subject to warranty, you are responsible for returning them to us or the manufacturer (as provided by the warranty). However, if the goods provided to you are faulty we will refund you delivery charges upon provision of proof of incurred costs.
  • Any warranty may be voided by damage to or misuse of the product, or problems caused by inadequate packaging or storage.
  • For health and safety reasons we request all used clothing to be washed prior to returning back to us. Failure to do this will result in us having to send them back to you, as we will be unable to inspect these goods.
  • Proof of purchase is required. We will confirm through our systems that we have sold you the product(s) prior to return.

For all Returns and Exchanges please follow the following steps:

  • Please note we will not accept returns for any non-faulty item that has been used, and/or had tags and/or packaging removed. We strongly advise all customers to check goods thoroughly upon delivery before removing any attached tags.
  • There is no return or exchange on clearance or sale items.
  • There is no return or exchange where the customer has had a change of mind, If the goods are faulty we will meet our obligations under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
  • iRIDE Ltd does not accept returns due to normal wear and tear on used items.

In the case of ordering the incorrect size or incorrect part:

  • Please make sure you contact us first on (+64) 04 471 1299 or email us at
  • If you ordered clothing or footwear that is the wrong size please send it back to us within 10 days of receipt and we'll happily exchange it for another one in the correct size (if available) or another product of the same value.
  • If you ordered a part for your bicycle without consultation from us, we can exchange the part provided that you pay for the freight to return the incorrect part.
  • If you ordered a bicycle from us, we will happily exchange for a different size provided it is in stock and available, provided that you consulted us via email or phone to determine your size prior to purchase. If you did not speak to or email one of us to determine your size prior to purchase - we can still exchange the bike, provided that you pay for the freight to return the incorrect size, and the cost of freighting the replacement bicycle size (provided it is in stock and available).
  • Please note a restocking fee of up to 10% may apply.
  • Please note that products returned or exchanged must be in a brand new condition with packaging intact and all labels returned with the item(s).
  • The cost of freight, both for returning the item and sending any replacement, will be the responsibility of the customer. We recommend you use tracked delivery or registered post to return items so as to cover yourself against loss.
  • Generally proof of purchase is required. We may waive this requirement, in consultation with you, if we can confirm through our systems that we have sold you the product(s).
  • If we receive your return in a condition which we feel is not fit for exchange or refund, we will contact you to arrange the next steps. iRIDE Ltd reserves the right to refuse a return or exchange for any item sent back in a condition where the item has been used or damaged.
  • Product exchanges are subject to stock availability.
  • Exchanged items can only be dispatched after the returned goods have been received and undergone a quality control check.

In the case of damaged goods:

  • If the goods are not of acceptable quality we will meet our obligations under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993. Please note that: (a) We will always quality check items before they leave iRIDE Ltd. (b) It is your responsibility to check the goods on arrival before signing for them and notify the courier company at time of delivery if they are damaged. (c) If at all possible please take a photo of the damage too.
  • If your order arrives in damaged condition please phone us within 3 days on (+64) 04 471 1299 so we can follow up promptly with the courier company. We will contact the courier company to arrange a pickup of the damaged goods and send you a replacement.
  • Generally proof of purchase is required. We may waive this requirement, in consultation with you, if we can confirm through our systems that we have sold you the product(s).

In the event that the product(s) you ordered are faulty or defective:

  • If your ordered item is found to be faulty or defective please see the warranties information above, and follow the process listed below.
  • If the goods are faulty or not of acceptable quality we will meet our obligations under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
  • Generally proof of purchase is required. We may waive this requirement, in consultation with you, if we can confirm through our systems that we have sold you the product(s).

For all Warranties, Returns and Exchanges please follow the following steps:

  • Read the Warranties, Returns and Exchanges policy to check your warranty, returns or exchange is valid. If you have any questions please contact us on (+64) 04 471 1299, or email us at
  • Using reasonable, protective packaging, return the item(s) to us by insured, traceable courier, or return them in person to our store located at 242 Thorndon Quay, Pipitea, Wellington.
  • Warranty and Returns do not cover: Incorrect assembly, misuse, abuse, or use of a product for which it was not designed; neglect and careless storage; unauthorised repairs; change of mind.
  • Please note: cash on delivery couriers will not be accepted.
  • Proof of purchase is required. Please enclose a photo of your receipt. We will confirm through our systems that we have sold you the product(s) prior to return.
  • Describe the issue.
  • To return your product, you should mail your product to:

    • You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
    • Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.
    • If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
  • Please note, any products that are being exchanged must be in a resalable condition with packaging intact and all labels returned with the item.
  • Please keep a record of your courier order details until you have received your replacement, credit or refund. We recommend you use recorded delivery or registered post to return items so as to cover yourself against loss.
  • We aim to process all returns as fast as possible.
  • Where you are eligible for a refund or exchange, the issuing of credit notes provides an alternative to a refund or exchange. These credit notes can be used to purchase anything from our store, either in person or online.

ALL Sale, Promotion, and Clearance items are not eligible for return, or exchange.

Only regular-priced items may be refunded or returned. In some instances (where we already have the goods instore) we may try to offer a solution whereby if a new item is purchased, for the same or greater value, we may consider crediting an items value upon receipt of the original item so long as it is in the condition it left the store, as new.

Website Policies and Use

Our website policies are designed with you, the customer, in mind to ensure that your online shopping experience with iRIDE will be secure, prompt, efficient, and hassle-free. As far as possible our online policies are consistent with our in-store company policies and procedures.

Data Collection

We will collect and store your personal information in the following circumstances:

  • When you register for an online account.
  • When you contact us to enquire about this site or any of our products or services.
  • Through your use of this site and the services and functionality offered through it

Data Use

We will only use personal information about you for the following reasons:

  • To create an online account for you.
  • To record and process your orders.
  • To add to our database so we may inform you of specials, promotions, offers and events via email or post.
  • To improve the products and services we offer through this site.
  • To respond to your queries.
  • Any other reasons which we may notify at the time the information is collected.


Email lists are generated from customer details provided to us in-store, or via signing up to our mailing list. We only email you if you want us to. When you register your email address with us, you go on a list to receive email announcements about products, offers, and promotions.
Every email message we send includes an email address to which you can respond. If at any time you decide you do not want to receive our emails, simply click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the newsletter. If you unsubscribe you will only receive emails specifically related to your online orders.


We may share your personal information:

  • Where the disclosure is in connection with one of the purposes for which the information was collected (e.g. to courier companies to enable deliveries).
  • Where we are required or authorised by law to make disclosure.

Except as provided above, we will not share your personal information with any other third parties.

Retention and Security

We will not hold your personal information for longer than is required for the purpose(s) for which it was collected. We will ensure that security safeguards protect the information and we will take all reasonable steps to ensure that information will not be disclosed to any unauthorised person or organisation.

Access and Correction

We will take all reasonable steps to ensure that personal information held by us is accurate and up-to-date. You are entitled to obtain from us confirmation as to whether or not we hold personal information about you and you are entitled to reasonable access to this information. You may also request:

  • That we correct this information if it is inaccurate; and
  • That your details do not appear on our database.

iRIDE is conscious of the need for privacy and security for your Internet shopping experience.
We use sophisticated encryption technology. This means at the checkout, our servers and your PC encrypt (scramble) everything that you enter into your computer, such as credit card details, billing and delivery address. Because it is encrypted, other computers are unable to make sense of it, therefore keeping this information private.
There are visual clues on screen that tell you when you have entered a secure environment: at the bottom of your browser, the key or padlock icon, which is normally broken, becomes solid and the address of the document you are accessing begins with https:// (secure hypertext transfer protocol).
As part of the software used by iRIDE there are secure processes built into the store. Specifically, the engine ensures:

  • Every order has a unique number
  • Every order is logged in a robust database
  • All your payment details can only be retrieved by iRIDE in an encrypted session
  • Confirmation emails of your order are sent to you, the customer.

Terms of Sale

This website ("site") is operated by iRIDE (referred to in these terms of sale as "we", "us or "our"). These terms of sale apply to your purchase of products via our site.

Gift Vouchers

iRIDE Gift Vouchers are available to purchase online. To purchase a Gift Voucher on our website, choose the Gift Voucher amount that you wish to purchase then add it to your Shopping Cart. At this stage iRIDE Gift Vouchers can only be redeemed in store. iRIDE Gift Vouchers are not redeemable for cash.

Mailer Terms & Conditions

Colour options indicated are as close as the 4 colour printing process allow. Accessories not included. Colours & sizes may vary in-store. Limited stock available on all specials. Personal shoppers only, no trade supplied.

Intellectual Property Rights

All intellectual property on this site, including without limitation any trade marks, text, graphics and copyright, is owned by us or our content suppliers. We are the exclusive owner of all rights in the compilation, design and layout of this site.

You may use this site only for the purposes for which it is provided. You must not use this site for fraudulent or other unlawful activity or otherwise do anything to damage or disrupt this site. You may reproduce, copy and distribute the content of this site provided you only use that content for informational, non-commercial purposes and any reproduction includes a prominent acknowledgement of the Company's rights in the relevant content. If the products are subject to the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 ("CGA"), you may have statutory rights and remedies which are not excluded nor limited by the above provisions unless you are acquiring the products for business purposes, in which case all of the above exclusions and limitations will apply and the CGA will not apply.

All Liability Excluded

To the extent permitted by law:

  • all warranties, representations and guarantees (whether express, implied or statutory) are excluded, including without limitation, suitability, fitness for purpose, accuracy or completeness of this site or the content on or accessed through it; and
