iRIDE Group Rides

Saturday means iRIDE group rides. These rides vary in difficulty and route, this is your guide to understanding what each ride entails and whether you think it's right for you.

Route

Routes vary from week to week, each route is rated based on its difficulty and your guide to the routes we use can be found here

Start Time

This is the time the ride is planned to start, please arrive 10-15 minutes beforehand so we can assess the group and its abilities pre-ride. All rides start and finish at iRIDE unless otherwise stated. Before each ride, there will be a briefing so riders understand the ride and route. Covered in the briefing will be;

  • New riders
  • Pace
  • Easy parts, where the hard parts and re-group sections are.
  • How group formation works, how the group rotates and for how long.
  • Group etiquette on punctures etc and where riders can rejoin the group if they have an issue.

Distance

The planned distance for the ride, please ensure you are comfortable riding this distance.

Intensity

The planned intensity of the ride, this will vary from easy to hard. The intensity is based on the route and pace of the planned ride. Easy rides are designed to be social with spots to regroup. Hard rides are fast and designed for experienced riders.
