Rapha Woman's 100 2022

Last Saturday the usual road ride was replaced by the iRide Rapha100 with our fantastic Ride Guide Ruth leading the Revolve pack! This event was jointly organized by (Revolver) Liz McKenna, iRide and Rapha. If you don't know who Rapha are they "exist to inspire the world to live life by bike because it's never just a ride" and they have some pretty nice cycling kit!

The Rapha Woman's 100 was all about celebrating women in cycling and encouraging and supporting women to ride 100km in one day. Despite some rather damp and discouraging weather in the morning, 17 women (including a few Revolvers) took up the challenge. The group cycled out to the end of Eastbourne and back, stopped at iRide to refuel on jellybeans and jet planes (thanks Liz), then continued around the peninsula to Lyall Bay, turned around, and cycled back the same way to iRide.

The weather improved during the morning and by 1pm both the earlier groups were back at iRide enjoying coffee and donuts, and more jelly beans and jet planes. Thanks to Liz, iRide, and Rapha for organizing the event - it was a blast!
